From our very first meeting five years ago about putting something on that’s a little “mardi gras-esque” to now, I never imagined our brainstorm would’ve taken off the way it has. And now here we are in the final planning stages of the 4th Annual Rajun’ Cajun Gumbo Throwdown.
Every year, the Rajun’ Cajun gets bigger and better and we couldn’t be more excited about it. People are coming from farther distances every year and we had several different people from out of the state that specifically came to Luling to join in the fun! To be honest, we wouldn’t be able to pull off such an awesome event without the generous help and contributions of sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and the patrons.
Every year, I am amazed and in awe of the growing group of folks that show up to help support Main street and our mission. You are all more appreciated than I could ever describe in words. Your tireless efforts leading up to the event and even in the days after do not go unnoticed. Thank you all!
The teams and cooks never cease to amaze me year after year. Rain or sine they cook all day to perfect their recipes while providing fun, food, and laughs with patrons passing by. Last year, we had the fiercest competition in the history of the RC. It definitely raised the bar! Will your team continue their reign, or will it be your team to take over the bragging rights of last year’s winners?
We plan to have some crazy new fun activities this year and hope to see you March 8th in beautiful and historic Downtown Luling!
